Karen DeMay

An expert in developing, leading and executing executive search and talent development strategies, Karen is passionate about transformation, excellence and achievement.  She has broad experience across multiple industries including Non-Profit/Philanthropy, Technology, Biotechnology, and Financial Services and has demonstrated success working with CEOs, C-suite executives and teams for start-ups, mid-size and fortune 50 companies. 

Karen started her career in Boston at a subsidiary of Fidelity Investments.  She was recruited to Heidrick & Struggles where she was an award-winning associate in the International Technology Practice.  In 2004, she joined The Bridgespan Group, a spin-out of Bain & Company.  As the number three employee in the Talent group, she was instrumental in the buildout of business processes and strategy and subsequently led a team to deliver executive recruiting and organizational development to clients in the philanthropic and nonprofit sectors. In 2011, Karen joined Wells Fargo in Charlotte, NC as an executive recruiter for the Wealth, Brokerage and Retirement group.  In 2019, she was promoted to lead the executive recruiting team supporting Technology, Wealth & Investment Management, Human Resources and Finance. Karen developed, piloted and launched the external succession pipelining program, a foundational element of Wells Fargo’s transformational change as it relates to People strategies. Today, Karen is an executive search and talent development consultant.  She is focused on helping her clients recruit, engage, develop and retain top talent.

Karen holds a BA in Communications from University of Pittsburgh and an MBA from Boston College.  She is also a Certified Co-Active Professional coach.
